The exhibition aims to show the story of the leading figures of "Made in Italy", presenting some of fashion's groundbreaking creations from the 1950s to nowadays.
 

The halls of the Centrale Montemartini is the iadeal setting for the exhibition "60 years of made ​​in Italy", promoted by Rome's Assessorato allePolitiche Culturali e Centro Storico - Sovraintendenza ai Beni Culturali and the Assessorato alle Attività Produttive, al Lavoro ed al Litorale, under the patronage of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion and on collaboration with Zètema Progetto Cultura.

The exhibition project was conceived by StilePromoItalia and curated by Fiorella Galgano and AlessiaTota, and pays tribute to the genius and sartorial knowhow of some leading figures of Italian fashion and design. The exhibition, designed by Elio Frasca and Antonio Palazzo and coordinated by Camilla Di Biagio, displays about a hundred historical fashion garments.

Among the brands on display: Renato Balestra, Franco Ciambella, Raffaella Curiel, Marella Ferrera, Sorelle Fontana, Egon Furstenberg, Galitzine, Gattinoni, Lancetti, Antonio Marras, Gai Mattiolo, Lorenzo Riva, Sarli,  Schuberth, Valentino, Brioni, Maison Litrico Roma, Emilio Pucci, Walter Albini, Giorgio Armani, Laura Biagiotti, Mariella Burani, Roberta di Camerino, Helietta Caracciolo, Roberto Cavalli, Enrico Coveri, Dolce & Gabbana, Etro, Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo, Gianfranco Ferrè, Alberta Ferretti, Nazareno Gabrielli, Genny, Gherardini, Gucci, Krizia, La Perla, Max Mara, Missoni, Moschino, Prada, Ermanno Scervino, Luciano Soprani, Trussardi, Versace

The exhibition stems from the success of a previous event entitled "Fifty years of Italian fashion", presented abroad, in consultation with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Embassies and the Italian Cultural Institutes. Over thirty exhibits hosted by the major museums around the world, after the Centrale Montemartini, "60 years of  Made ​​in Italy" will open in Mexico City, hosted at the Museo Franz Mayer, in March 2013 under the patronage of the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Mexico.
