The first major exhibition on chocolate to be opened in Rome: a journey through history and cinema, archeology and multimedia projections

Ciok si gira. Il Cioccolato: Le origini, la storia, gli dei.
From the earliest Mesoamerican cacao plantations to the conch machine invented by Rudolph Lindt, via the original maya recipe (cocoa beans and cold water resulting in a bitter and tonic drink) to Pier Paul Caffarel's revolutionary Gianduiotto.
Two thematic sections transform the Centrale Montemartini in a Chocolate Factory to huide visitorrs through a magical world made of chocolat. The first section is dedicated to the history of chocolate, the second to the relationship between people and chocolate celebrated in films.

On 8 March, on the occasion of International Women's Day, women are granted free admission.
